Masspoint recently supplied and commissioned a 250kVA/215kWh Hybrid Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for Total Generators, successfully transforming their site's power supply model with an innovative energy solution.

Project Background & Challenge

The site originally relied on two 200kVA diesel generators (DGs) running 24/7. This conventional setup resulted in high fuel consumption, significant carbon emissions, and constant noise, alongside considerable operational costs.

Solution & Outstanding Results

The implementation of the Masspoint Hybrid BESS has fundamentally changed this scenario. Post-commissioning, the site now operates with only one 200kVA diesel generator, which runs for just 9 hours a day at its optimal efficiency of around 75%. The intelligent control system of the BESS automatically manages the DG's operation, delivering remarkable outcomes:
